We are delighted to be returning to our clinic in Sandgate!
From Monday 3rd July 2023 clinics will resume at 29 Sandgate, Penrith, CA11 7TJ. As before, please enter the building and follow the corridor to the waiting room at the rear. Dr Bailey will come and find you at your appointment time.

Dr Bailey is delighted to be helping out the young athletes of the GB Taekwondo Development Squad by providing some adhoc physiotherapy at their purpose built training centre in Manchester.

From the 3rd January 2023 our new home will be at 11 West Lane, Penrith, CA11 7DP. We will be working from here whilst renovation work takes place at our Sandgate premises.

On entering the building, we will be the first room on the right. If you are a little early there will be seating in the corridor, where you can wait until your appointment time. There are two steps to access the building.

There are no easily accessible toilets.

We thank you for your support during this period and hope that this does not cause anyone too much inconvenience.

Update – 23rd August 2021
Following a review of the current situation we remain open for face to face, 1-2-1 hands on physiotherapy appointments in Penrith, to both new and existing patients. A physiotherapy appointment with Dr Bailey is charged at £68.00 for 30 minutes.
We also continue to offer non-steroid injections, charged at £195.00 per injection. Please call us on our practice number or use the on-line booking system on our website to make an appointment.
We have also reviewed our opening hours. From the 7th September onwards these will be Tuesday – Thursday, 9.15am – 3.45pm, although other days and times maybe avaliable. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Bailey has now received his 1st covid vaccination jab, his second one will hopefully be towards the end of May.

Following the news of further possible lockdowns, both locally and nationally, we are pleased to announce that the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) has advised we can remain open, no matter what level of restrictions our area is subject to.

We are offering face to face physiotherapy appointments in Penrith, to both new and existing patients. We believe that an evidence based, hands on, 1-2-1 physiotherapy is the best way to benefit patients, speed recovery and reduce pain.

Appointments with Dr Bailey:
We are currently open Monday – Wednesday, 9am – 4pm and Thursday 9am – 1pm. Please call us on our practice number or use the on-line booking system on our website to make an appointment.
An appointment with Dr Bailey is charged at £68.00 for 30 minutes. There will be additional time between appointments to complete PPE & cleaning protocols.

Following advice from the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) we are happy to announce that we can remain open no matter what level of restrictions our area is subject to.
We are offering face to face physiotherapy appointments to both new and existing patients.
We are currently open Mondays – Wednesdays 8.50am – 4pm.
We would first like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience, understanding and support during this difficult time.
We are delighted to announce that we are now open for face to face appointments. We are currently operating from our Penrith clinic. Whilst we will still be prioritising vulnerable patients and those already in the middle of urgent treatment when lockdown began, physiotherapy appointments are now available to all those who need them,
In the coming weeks we will update you on the latest services that we will be able to provide. Please call us on our practice number or use the on-line booking system to book your appointment. When necessary, will be operating a waiting list for patients.
Infection control and patient care has always been our priority. We will be using all the necessary PPE and updated practice protocols in order to keep all our patients and staff safe. We are unable to offer the use of our toilet facilities at this time.

The patient journey will be slightly different to how it was before lockdown. We have put together a summary of what to expect when you attend your next appointment. Emma will explain everything you need to know when booking your appointment.

Summary of the new patient journey for appointments with Dr Bailey:
  1. If you are displaying COVID-19 symptoms we will not be able to provide treatment.
  2. Please complete the COVID-19 consent form and return it to us before attending the clinic.
  3. Wait in your car if you arrive early or try to arrive as close to your appointment time as possible.
  4. Attend the practice by yourself and with as few personal items as possible.
  5. Please wear a face covering when attending the clinic.
  6. When entering the clinic please take a seat and observe social distancing.
  7. Please use the hand sanitiser provided when entering and leaving the clinic.
  8. Dr Bailey will collect you from the waiting room at your appointment time.
  9. Expect to see him in extra PPE – however, he is still the same person underneath!
  10. Your treatment may take a different format to before, due to the extra precautions and procedures in place to keep everyone safe. There will also be additional time between appointments for additional cleaning protocols.
  11. The preferred method of payment will be card payment over the phone or online bank transfer before you attend for your appointment.

An appointment with Dr Bailey is charged at £68.00 for 30 minutes.
There will be additional time between appointments to complete PPE & cleaning protocols.
We can only see privately funded patients at this time but we are happy to provide a receipt, by e-mail, if you are able to re-claim your costs from a third party.
