One of many reasons that patients pursue private physiotherapy is the increase speed of access to treatment. Atlas Physiotherapy has recently completed an audit to establish the length of time between receiving a referral (either written or verbal) and their first appointment.
We are pleased to say that this established that 95% of patients were seen the same day and 100% of patients within 48 hours of the time that they requested an appointment. It is an established fact that leaving an acute injury whilst awaiting treatment will turn it into a chronic lesion and that this reduces both the prognosis and the speed of recovery.
